Brian practices primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and corporate contractual law. He represents individual clients as well as corporate clients in industries that include construction, manufacturing, telecommunications, and computer/Internet related industries. His representation of such clients includes employment related litigation, intellectual property litigation, general business litigation and business contract drafting and negotiation.
Brian began his legal career in Chicago with the litigation firm of Williams & Montgomery and later accepted a position as a commercial litigation associate with Barnes & Thornburg. In 1997, Brian left Barnes & Thornburg and founded Stone, Troglia & Leinenweber where he practiced until the firm merged with Cowen, Crowley, Nord & Staub, P.C. in July of 1999.
Brian is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law (J.D., 1992) where he received honors in oral advocacy and legal writing. He also graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (B.S., 1989) where he received the Senior 100 Honorary Award, which honors 100 of all graduating seniors based upon academic excellence and community achievement.
Brian is active in several community and charitable organizations and he is a chairman of the national organization, Ducks Unlimited. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Brian is admitted to the Illinois bar and the Federal bar.
