Wilbert F. Crowley

Bill is a seasoned corporate and transactional lawyer and has handled major business acquisitions, securities offerings, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, reorganizations and workouts. He is corporate counsel to a number of mid-sized and growing companies in such varied areas as information systems, on-line retail and services, manufacturing, marketing, consulting, construction and franchising.

Bill is also an experienced commercial litigator in the state and federal courts in such diversified areas as franchising, securities, stockholder derivative, management/employee disputes, unfair competition, real estate and contract actions of all types.  He has served as lead counsel in several complex multi-party and class action cases.

Bill Crowley began his career with the Chicago firm of Winston & Strawn, and later was a partner in the law firms of Norman & Billick and Coin, Crowley & Nord.  In 1983, he was a founding partner in Cowen, Crowley, Nord & Staub, P.C.

Bill is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1965) and College of the Holy Cross (B.S., cum laude 1962). In law school, Bill was a member of  the University of Michigan Legal Honorary Society.  He also was an Instructor, Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy, at the University of Wisconsin Law School from 1965-1966.

Bill is listed in Marquis Who's Who In American Law (3d Ed.). He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association (Long Range Planning Committee; Chairman, 1981-1982); and American Bar Association (Section on Business Law).  Bill is admitted to the Illinois bar and the Federal bar.
